Greetings from the Worshipful Master

The officers elected to serve the Lodge in 2017 will remain the same as they were in 2016. The repeating of the Worshipful Master and Wardens will give more time for the appointed officers to learn the aspects of the different chairs and more time for the Senior and Junior Wardens to prepare for the East. Realistically it should take much longer to advance to the East and the Worshipful Master repeating helps allows that to happen.

As I prepare to serve another year as Worshipful Master, I realize the importance of building on what has been accomplished these past several years. The Lodge will continue the current fundraisers. Fundraisers support the annual First Responders' Banquet, the Regalia Fund, Masonic Charities and the overall financial picture. Each Stated Meeting there is a meal provided at 6:30; the donations received also go to the First Responders' Banquet. The Lodge is financially sound due to these activities and due also to increasing our membership and yet mostly because the membership has been ever faithful in paying their dues.

I look forward to 2017, as do the officers, because we know together we will have another successful year of building relationships as Masons. As the New Year begins one of our brethren, Nelson Lowes, will have the new duty as the Communications Director that I believe will keep the brethren more informed of the events that take place at the Temple that you and your families can participate in, as well as the Lodge meetings. I also want to begin a class for those aspiring to be Masters of the Lodge so that they can begin to prepare and know what’s expected of them to hold this office. I wish all of you had a wonderful Christmas and as we begin a New Year, I wish you success in all you hope to accomplish.  May God bless our endeavors!
